through Friday

$ w: Q( V/ _- o; ~; K5 b! QJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
& m5 r+ e. ?# x! q1 Scleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 n* ~0 D) u5 M  D1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
" \7 N7 B. H9 j6 ^6 ?( xbeverage items.

/ o6 ]: ]! l7 q/ c1 c& V- J6 ^3 g2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
4 r, F* r- u4 k. u4 \bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
each shift, and upon closing.

% A: G+ z1 U* {3 T7 Y4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
$ J$ R' B) T  e5 d- Vattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
$ F% B2 E8 I% O# cstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
$ \; I- t: d; _( y3 F3 bmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
/ z1 \8 e! b# a' g9 TAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

$ d9 r+ T7 P; {6 e5 ]9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
* N  C- [+ Q5 A; }( lSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

; {& x. b6 b- s. C3 B3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

& [4 K4 H+ |) l5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
