BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving

& R6 i( k, Z; S9 oJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  5 B, j7 J  Q8 u( n9 x6 J9 m
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
/ J: r5 `8 h/ ~6 vprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  5 w- Z, |: a0 J9 @: ^) k
cleanliness and order in the bar.

2 E% j3 {5 B  K* ]5 R( b3 e- yDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ l1 G4 |5 f; W6 }1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
' g( ?+ v" W: v9 z. Gbeverage items.
+ J8 W, z9 j- \; {5 f
# E$ N+ J% G7 G$ j9 _8 I7 q2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  - [( m8 m- R* `: g# K4 Q' [) r
bar and debit floats.
" {. q; T6 K+ y8 N7 ?
6 x9 C0 O4 C; l% f3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
! [2 X1 L0 S1 p$ K' b/ _each shift, and upon closing.

6 b( _7 _. E' ]4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  6 ?$ u2 H: N, S& [- I
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  + ]) G0 R5 z! e- Y
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.7 O; x) S! Y% q+ T* t7 U

/ |, P8 h0 c6 R! X. r% [5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  6 S% V) b9 t/ r5 ~$ [
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  6 m8 \5 y5 v; _! t
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.6 q: v% c: m4 @- e+ u9 n8 {& W
  B; e3 Q0 J$ l. f. m* [) Z
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
+ w5 G$ v7 P5 `3 i. r# _3 A3 _monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  ' V. e0 j) M6 l  f, _$ Q
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
( [* R# ^% F6 l# J) z: q% A3 d7 saccordance with Students' Union policies.: u, K" x8 Z' J6 {; F% }: T

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
. E' ]" D9 u4 @, h  N' |4 w7 jhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.( C' D: V$ j" j1 ^
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
3 m% C7 {) U: j1 b3 ?Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.& l4 ?8 t2 Z+ I

- N, h6 W/ M3 w! e3 V# L; e8 n2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
5 F: F  f$ u' _  x; M* z% Q# c: Woperation.
3 @, B6 u$ V. A1 N! j# Q  F4 c0 Y9 K0 l( l6 |5 |
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  8 _' U( z- U  t
accordance with Students' Union policy.  v/ p0 j8 c5 J3 f. `  i- R6 v
4 B* d; W' a  h1 P: Q
4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
