22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
/ _/ B9 H$ E( O* m) YOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
2 s; F- Z* H( e+ Sprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
4 {* {$ ]4 ]3 B# A4 Scleanliness and order in the bar.

7 ~  g$ p1 I) t; g. {DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.

! r. z* \- {# A3 T4 @2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
; B" a1 X+ U" V% O$ z1 i7 F. ubar and debit floats.
' D: D8 {4 c, Z2 O& J" U
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
, X/ r1 n- C2 Meach shift, and upon closing.

& o0 u- X. X9 [- o1 i( H4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

1 ~, B/ a8 O/ g6 H5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

# N# |, M* }- u' Z" y( ~- m8 p6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
' |: ]- p. z0 |; Q7 s  t' g1 [2 taccordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

3 O7 T* j, \) M' S6 D$ O6 EQUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

7 G- Z6 v7 L: i2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

' F- c; n7 m& M# `% o3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.
  k% s3 |; y% R9 d& e; u7 ?1 Y: ]
% g" _8 ~# _" G4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
