4 R4 L2 c$ z( K1 aPosition Abstract: position was created to expand awareness/participation in Harcourt House Arts Centre art ed. programs, as well as to create accessible programming for children/youth to enhance our existing art education and enrichment activities.

Tasks & Responsibilities: to run the 2007 Art Expressed summer art camp from July - August 2007. This initiative will be a continuation of last year's program and involves initial development, marketing plan, co-ordinating logistics, designing/preparing the art education brochure, day to day administration, taking registrations/payments, scheduling and running the art activities & day camp promotions.

* O* H* @. O# xPLUS: continued on-site liaisons with Harcourt staff/instructors to ensure smooth operations. And, reporting to the Art Education Manager/Executive Director, assisting with duties involving Harcourt's year-round community art education program.9 K5 Z0 M! l' d* X

Successful Candidate: Experience in teaching visual arts, or with administering an arts program. Position will require an ability to work independently, as well as being part of a team. This person should be familiar with the Public School Education system & have an interest in curriculum requirements (visual arts). M$ N- a' e/ L! m; d" \

K @9 l' {. y5 e' F, P8 e6 TQualifications/Skills: currently enrolled in, planning to attend, or recently graduated from related post-secondary education or training; computer literate/able to work in a MAC environment, write copy for promotions and design promotional materials; creativity is essential; experience working with children an asset.
