ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

Salary: $12.00 per hour

EThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.* ]4 S% B0 w5 V( e% j
( N. Z! u% Q% |# G: G7 ]Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

Qualifications:
/ b9 v# @- d* u1 w( h1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement./ v" v) n- R& ]6 t. b- b9 H4 k
2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.# G- l+ j5 h# K9 g; g" ~
3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
