ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

Length: A maximum of 15 weeks

Position Responsibilities

Community Initiatives Documenter
The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

! a6 l2 ~6 d( g$ B1 `1.        Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
0 j4 _3 O5 Y5 L- e. H2.        Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
6 `' S" E5 t9 x7 A5 s- K3.        Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
+ T: C3 B$ i: H+ i. t4.        Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
