DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:# U$ a" ?& B; ^' L, q$ Z

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.* z) B/ U8 Z6 ^) }/ U, y
% R: h( s% L/ `( Y8 b6 j% ?1 X3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing 9 }% C" ?# v. m9 W) J
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations % F! w; F1 g1 X+ _& ]4 A: D: V; Q$ x
across campus, and advertising the poll locations.

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

referendum.

To enforce budgetary regulations as stipulated in the Elections

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a 7 f+ f6 A* S# M8 F' T j$ [
minimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday, : g! e, D# v2 {5 b) }$ V
from the first working day after nominations close until the last day

11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during

of campaigning.

1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course
" R6 f) O0 A$ K9 j' L- }) W( Kfor each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'
0 d3 a; N% D1 m. }; XUnion member.

2) Must have some experience in student elections.3 P! k5 I) @' p, }

3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or
3 ]! }- \& P: ]) g& b8 Y# K! Wany of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position " a! Q" y) m# u3 j" k$ \1 Q
with the Students' Union.
