Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the" C* i" p" l' I# G% g
festival.
4 L$ x" s" z |0 cBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
- E5 F$ s3 C% d; Ework the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft1 \( y/ h/ L1 q
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
( m/ A, }$ f1 W" @4 R, kChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the' l3 T: `! P" I7 r- p0 I. H
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
$ a. H+ B' E5 i0 d! QEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for# [! x0 J# ]2 D: ^/ m: W/ |
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the. q* l/ D, `! r% J+ ~ H7 R4 s6 P
recyclables." _2 a d6 V1 A' `: T' R
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
5 b( L( F4 U& e: @/ w- h% m6 Xpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
; K- v# A- o% X9 V6 {Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
- N! v( u u+ \( w( zthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
& t" v3 W1 x; C2 B; s9 J* Rhours are part of this crew’s duties.
\7 Q; q1 ?* `" ?# eInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
: [9 F; J) J4 V# |% Yfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
. i) C- b5 D. M/ ]& A% ^programs to visitors to the festival.
) u, S6 R5 I3 Y2 OKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
0 {$ q4 w' @6 b; ~1 x' q$ Heveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
" w: }5 H0 \& b: O4 ^9 S+ t$ ?/ s* rOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed O2 Q$ _/ w7 Y4 |/ N6 K
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the! l8 _' {1 |8 A6 k1 n; I
festival.
+ z6 A# O! k4 D! C eSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
) i; Y9 V/ Z6 Z/ a. Joperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you# |, |8 a& q- A: Z- g
are physically fit and ready for any emergency./ W4 j L# h" V& E- }
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training. h( Z( C7 U3 K
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.& [% w; ^4 h! a* u8 _; c
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
& S/ v+ Y4 ^+ N' |, krequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
$ Z3 d* B% X' `/ P- r4 T% xairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
1 z. I1 q6 {2 dstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
