好消息！截至到昨天为止，Edmonton房价下降３％，平均房价大约是$412.000, 是买入的好机会。

I was living in a small city for a few years, but moved to Edmonton last year, try to survive in this expensive city. Hope the prices drop further, so poor people like me can afford to live here. Or go back where I came from.

I bought a 1500 sq ft bunglow 4 years in that city and only paid $168K, and the house is half a block from a beautiful lake. The house proices in that city are almost same as Edmonton at that time. But things are changing fast, now Edmonton is ridiculously expensive.

When the prices come down, it is a good time to buy because you can pay less.

I agree. But even if the prices only drop by 10 or 20%, it can save you quite a bit of money.

Actually I bought a few properties in recent years. I don't care if the market has reached bottom or not, I will buy if they are reasonably priced. I just don't think those ordinary houses are worth half million dollar. I don't want to losy my hard-made money in the bubbly market.

I agree that houses are just places for people to live. But the main value of a house for a lot of speculators is an investment tool that they can make a huge profit from it. They are pushing the prices up, and other people could not get a shelter.

同意, 房价不可能几年如一日一条直线往上窜, 调整之后接下来就是下一轮的上涨, 就这么锯齿状地上去, 很简单的道理, 不过倒为了些想趁低吸入的提供了炒作的题材, 没买的当然想越降越好, 要卖的当然希望越涨越好, 人之常情, 但在大经济环境没有太大变化的情况下, 大方向还是往上走的.
